About the Position

This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald’s franchise restaurant. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA and is solely responsible for employment matters at this restaurant, including hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, scheduling, and termination.

McDonald’s USA does not control employment decisions at this restaurant and will not receive your employment application or participate in the hiring process.

What You’ll Do

Managers help lead the restaurant and ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Responsibilities may include:

• Leading shifts and directing Crew Members

• Coaching, training, and developing employees

• Providing a great customer experience

• Maintaining food quality and food safety standards

• Helping ensure restaurant cleanliness and organization

• Managing assigned restaurant systems and procedures

• Setting goals, delegating responsibilities, and following up on results

• Supporting staffing, scheduling, inventory, and other restaurant operations

• Working with other Managers to achieve restaurant goals

Department Leadership Opportunities

Depending on the position and needs of the restaurant, Managers may also lead a specific department.

Hospitality Department Leader

The Hospitality Department Leader focuses on creating a great customer experience. Responsibilities may include training employees on service procedures, supporting promotions, and ensuring the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru are organized and operating effectively.

Quality Department Leader

The Quality Department Leader focuses on food quality, safety, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities may include ensuring food is prepared quickly and correctly, maintaining food safety standards, controlling food costs, and training kitchen employees on production procedures and new menu items.

People Department Leader

The People Department Leader focuses on hiring, training, scheduling, and employee development. Responsibilities may include helping recruit qualified Crew Members, ensuring new employees receive a strong start, supporting training and scheduling, and recognizing and motivating employees.

What We’re Looking For

Previous management experience is preferred, particularly in a restaurant, retail, hospitality, or other fast-paced customer service environment.

We are looking for leaders who:

• Have a positive attitude and lead by example

• Are dependable and organized

• Communicate effectively with employees and customers

• Enjoy coaching and developing others

• Can make decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment

• Work well as part of a management team

• Are willing to learn and take on additional responsibility

• Have scheduling flexibility based on restaurant needs
