Mental Health Services PositionProvide mental health services and psychosocial support to individuals through assessment, treatment, crisis intervention and prevention, as well as consultation, collaboration and education. This position will be working with children and youth ages 12-19, at the Saint Louis County Center for Youth on The Rise in Spanish Lake. The typical work hours will be from 8:30 am– 5:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and 8:30 am-6:30 pm on Wednesday.This position is located at 12079 Bellefontaine Road Spanish Lake MO 63138. Collaborate with physicians and other related staff to respond to crisis situations and to provide therapeutic mental health treatments to improve functioning and alleviate symptoms. Provide direct clinical services to individuals and families to help them achieve optimal health. Serve on committees and teams to develop, coordinate and implement group programs for individuals. Perform other duties as required or assigned.Minimum QualificationsRequires a Master Degree, licensure as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Missouri and one year of related experience. Requires a valid Driver's License.Additional InformationA selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant which will include recentness and appropriateness of the applicant's education and experience, answers to the supplemental questions, results of employment references investigated and any other appropriate information available. The selection committee will admit to the interview only those persons who possess the most job-related qualifications and may establish admittance criteria beyond the minimum qualifications stated above. The interview will comprise 100% of the applicant's earned grade. A candidate must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After initial interviews with the selected candidates are conducted, an email will be sent to the address on file with instructions on how to complete and submit a Conviction Questionnaire. Candidates have 3 days to complete the required questionnaire. The five top ranking candidates, based on the final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority who will make the final decision. All applicants conditionally offered a merit position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Screening will be performed by a reputable clinical laboratory. The cost of screening will be covered by the County. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
