Mental Health Associate

Description Mental Health Associate (part‑time, night shift position) at Providence St Vincent Medical Center Provides intervention and continuity of care to patients with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho‑social stressors. Interventions involve providing supervision, emotional support, behavioral intervention, and basic care needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral science field; preferably in mental health related field such as social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, and/or social sciences. Or equivalent education/experience. Coursework/Training: Annual training in Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) within 60 days of hire. Within 60 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. 2 years experience providing direct care assistance to individuals with behavioral health concerns and/or severe psycho‑social stressors and/or developmental disabilities and/or in a healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications Crisis intervention or emergency experience. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
