Resident Service CoordinatorThe Resident Service Coordinator reports to the Housing Program Manager and provides case management services for program participants. This role conducts participant assessments and intake, facilitates program meetings, and supports homeless families as they transition from homelessness to independent living.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for recruitment of housing program participantsDevelop and implement case plans that meet program and organizational standardsProvide weekly case management for Emergency Shelter participants and biweekly support for Transitional Housing participantsMaintain accurate and up-to-date participant files, referrals, and case notesMonitor participant progress toward case plan goals and compliance with program requirements and guidelinesMaintain participant confidentiality and accurate records in HMIS & program databasesMaintain waitlists for Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing programsEnforce program policies and disciplinary procedures, including documentation and terminations with Director approvalConduct unit inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and program complianceFacilitate shelter meetings and assist with workshops and housing meetings as neededParticipate in Housing Committee meetingsAssist with participant events, including Family Nights and holiday celebrationsWork with community agencies and attend partner meetings as neededAssist with collecting, tracking, and reporting monthly program statisticsProvide regular program updates to management and Corps OfficersConduct urine analysis testing when requiredProvide follow-up support to former participants for 9 to 12 months and assist with alumni activitiesAssist with scheduling and supervising volunteers and internsSupport program operations in the absence of the Program Assistant or Housing ManagerRespond to participant case management emergencies as neededServe on-call for housing program emergencies one weekend each monthProvide transportation for participants using Salvation Army vehicles as neededOther related duties as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in social sciences or equivalent (required)CA Driver's license (required)Experience with social service agencies and providersSKILLS AND ABILITIES:Able to work flexible hours (required)Must be able to live on-site (required)Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse populations and as part of a teamAbility to manage challenging situations with professionalism, compassion, and sound judgmentStrong organizational, time management, and independent work skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesProficient in Microsoft programsEQUIPMENT USED:Modern Office Equipment and Relevant SoftwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
