FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: 4x10 or 5x8 Position Summary Patient Surgical & Financial Coordinator serves as a key member of the bariatric surgery team. They are responsible for coordinating a panel of bariatric surgery patients and the logistics of their pre-surgery work-up, which typically spans between a two to eight-month period. They serve as the key point of contact for patients, keeping them on track and informed at every step along the way to surgery. Responsibilities High school diploma/GED equivalent required Related college coursework and or training preferred Two-year or four-year college degree preferred Minimum of two (2) year work experience in a medical office setting required Experience with medical terminology Healthcare insurance or related experience strongly preferred Experience with EPIC desirable Experience in customer service roles preferred About Deaconess Hospital Founded in 1896, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hospital serving the greater Spokane region. Deaconess is home to a Level III Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine program and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.51 - $28.08 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
