Overview The Strategic Technology Group (STG) unit at Infosys is designed for power programmers and senior technologists who want to go beyond traditional development roles and take on complex, large‑scale technology challenges. The unit brings together Specialist Programmers, Senior Technologists, and Technical Leaders who possess deep expertise across software design and development, cloud‑native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, and emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI. Members play a strategic role in shaping technology direction, solving complex business challenges, and delivering resilient, high‑quality outcomes. They are expected to demonstrate strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and hands‑on leadership while mentoring teams and influencing best practices across programs. The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling, offering experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives, engage closely with stakeholders, and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’s global delivery ecosystem. Area of Responsibility Evaluate project requirements and use cases to deliver high‑quality design, frameworks, and production‑ready code work products. Design technology frameworks for complex scenarios, develop design patterns and reference implementations, design reusable assets, and conduct design reviews. Deliver high‑quality code across applications, databases, and integrations. Optimize code, debug complex routines, and develop code generators and pilot implementations for reusable components, ensuring defect‑free production‑ready code. Work closely with other teams to ensure alignment on project goals and technology implementations. Provide technical guidance to peers and help maintain delivery consistency and code quality. Identify proof of concepts (PoCs) for emerging programming; independently develop PoCs for new technologies and complex modules ensuring timely delivery. Provide inputs for multi‑technology and multi‑language high‑risk deployments. Evaluate and implement technical services to meet high‑quality service (QoS) requirements, ensuring alignment with business and IT key performance indicators (KPIs). Create reusable assets and deliver defect‑free, impactful code to achieve quality benchmarks and Zero‑Defect Delivery. Support complex projects by resolving technical challenges and reducing risk exposure. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision‑making and enhance project outcomes. Support test automation and execute test strategies to drive quality improvements. Contribution To The Team Bring a strategic mindset to building reusable components and ensuring high‑quality, defect‑free delivery. Share knowledge and mentor peers to foster technical excellence across projects. Assess and adopt emerging technologies, translate them into PoCs and deployment‑ready solutions, and drive performance improvements through advanced engineering practices. Required Skill And Experience Core development and architecture experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Frameworks, JavaScript, Angular7+, MySQL. Experience with microservice‑based architecture, extensible architecture, and developing and deploying microservices. Experience in Mesos/Marathon, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ. Strong knowledge of refactoring, object‑oriented and functional design patterns. Experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms; familiarity with tools such as Terraform or AWS CLI. Experience in open‑source frameworks and tools. Ability to write high‑quality, highly performant code and evaluate performance aspects of new and existing code. Experience performing code reviews to maintain quality. Experience performing PoCs for emerging technologies. Experience working in a fast‑paced and agile environment. Technical experience integrating and applying modern AI tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini. Technical ability to build bespoke AI agents, multi‑agent systems using Python, LangGraph, LangChain for real‑world business needs. Experience building AI‑assisted workflows, classification, enrichment, response generation, decision support, structured outputs, prompt pipelines, and reliability safeguards. Effective collaboration and communication skills. Preferred Skill And Experience Amazon Web Services and cloud deployments (S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.) using Terraform or AWS CLI. Experience in cloud‑based platforms such as OpenShift, AWS, GCP, Azure. Experience customizing third‑party COTS products and SaaS platforms. Understanding of one or more domain expertise and associated industry standards. Operating system experience in Linux, Solaris, macOS. Industry‑acclaimed external certifications, if applicable. Active participation in technology forums. Contribution to open‑source community. Additional Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
