*Must be able to train onsite in Baltimore, MD for 1-2 weeks from 8am-5pm.*
As a Medical Office Assistant for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, you'll:
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients in general surgery at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
- Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers.
- Check patients in and out, collect copays, and respond to patient messages.
- Work in the EPIC queue and in-basket.
- Verify insurance and collect demographics.
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
- EPIC experience is very helpful!
- Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
Salary Range: Minimum 18.87/hour - Maximum 31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
