Staff Accountant

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is eager to contribute to the financial success and accuracy of the organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently, while also supporting various accounting functions and special projects. Responsibilities Prepare and record accounting entries to support accurate financial reporting. Reconcile general ledger accounts and research variances or discrepancies. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial records. Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper accounting treatment. Support audit activities by gathering requested documentation and responding to inquiries. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash-related accounting functions as needed. Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Support financial reporting, special projects, and other ad hoc assignments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required. 2-5 years of accounting, finance, or related professional experience. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices. Experience with ERP accounting software and financial systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Work Hours Monday - Friday, 1st shift Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development. Additional Details Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year.
