Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Myerstown Nursing and Rehab in Myerstown, PA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead our clinical team. Position Summary

The ADON supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining the highest standards of resident care. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a passion for mentoring and developing nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services and staff

• Monitor care delivery for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance

• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance guidance to nursing team members

• Assist with scheduling, staff development, and in-service education

• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives

• Assist with infection prevention and regulatory compliance activities

• Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing

• Promote a positive, resident-centered culture focused on quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN license required

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
