Neurosurgery Inpatient (Night Shift) Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

The Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its growing team. The selected candidate will partner with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscience providers to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative evidence-based care under the general supervision of a physician in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Responsibilities will include organizing and presenting patient data during daily rounds, performing appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and providing patients with health maintenance and follow-up care. Candidates must possess a current Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification from an accredited program. Prior experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or inpatient neurosurgical care is preferred. A BLS, PALS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.

This is a 0.9 FTE position working three 12-hour shifts per week. Schedule requirements are 6 PM - 6 AM, with weekend, and rotating holidays, as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
