Audio Visual Installer

Perform complex audiovisual systems installations and integrations Conduct site surveys to evaluate project requirements and installation feasibility Fabricate and assemble AV equipment racks Load and configure control system code Commission, test, and troubleshoot AV systems for full operational functionality Generate, update, and maintain technical documentation, including system drawings and As-Built documentation Develop and maintain technical relationships with vendors and manufacturers Lead and mentor a team of contract AV Technicians Configure and troubleshoot AV network equipment and control systems Train and guide end users on newly installed AV systems Ensure installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of complex audiovisual systems in a government environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, including passing a criminal background and credit check Minimum 5 years of experience working independently and collaboratively in team environments Minimum 5 years of demonstrated technical reading and writing skills Minimum 5 years of experience fabricating, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audiovisual systems and equipment Minimum 5 years of experience configuring AV network equipment and troubleshooting control systems Minimum 5 years of experience reading and creating technical documentation, drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service skills with experience supporting multicultural environments Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Radio/Television, Communications, or a related field Preferred: AVIXA certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) Preferred: Manufacturer certifications such as Biamp, ClearOne, Crestron, Cisco/Tandberg, Shure, AMX, or Extron Preferred: Experience supporting government contracts Preferred: Experience training end users on AV systems Preferred: Experience troubleshooting IP networks, video teleconferencing, and control systems, including Crestron Studio programming Preferred: Experience supporting Windows environments, streaming appliances, storage servers, video production servers, asset management systems, and remote AV device management Preferred: Ability to support multiple computer operating systems Core Competencies Demonstrates extensive experience in audiovisual systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, with a strong emphasis on technical documentation and compliance with project specifications.
