Industrial Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

Industrial Maintenance TechnicianThis individual will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance required to maintain our industrial equipment and facility at an optimal level of operation with an emphasis on mechanical power transmission, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. Maintenance experience with industrial controls, 480-volt 3 phase electrical feeders, machining, robotics, and CNC is a plus. Individual will be required to work on mechanical and hydraulic presses, furnaces, grinders, steel preparation and coating equipment, gear shapers, robotics, CNC machining centers, laser cutters, gear shapers, dust and fume collection equipment, and HVAC equipment.Specific Duties:Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and support the Reliability Engineer. The Industrial Maintenance Technician's main responsibility is preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance. The position will be responsible for:Ensure that safety standards are maintained while performing dutiesPerform corrective maintenance on equipmentCarry out routine check on production equipmentCarryout regular preventive maintenance on equipment following standards and allotted time for completionCarryout regular preventive maintenance on facilities to mitigate major damageDiagnose and repair or replace worn parts in machine and equipmentThe preventive activities of a technician in this role may include maintaining correct fluid levels on machinesCarry out replacement of filters and changing of oil and grease. Complete assigned Lubrication Routes on equipment.Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substancesMay be required to assist external technicians/sub-contractors during external PM'sWork with Planner to keep proper record of work activities, including updating PM standard work procedures, PM part list and toolsSubmit reports on work activities and progress of work to the supervisorWork independently or as part of a group to PM, troubleshoot and repair existing equipment and facility systems.Identify root cause of equipment failures and suggest preventive actions.Follow written instructions to perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.Work with engineering to upgrade existing equipment for enhanced safety, functionality, and/or reliability.Identify and order machine components and materials required to complete any given job.Accurately estimate time required to complete any given job.Interface with our computerized maintenance management system to retrieve work orders and preventive maintenance activities, issues parts, and record closing information.Work flexible hours, be willing to stay over to complete critical tasks, and work weekend hours when needed.Must be willing and able to travel occasionally as required (not typically a part of job function, for training purposes, <5%)Work Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong working knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabricating, pipe fitting, and constriction tradesMust possess strong communication skills, analytical abilities and the ability to multi-task
