Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Grandview, MO, responsible for overseeing service operations for boiler and burner systems. This role coordinates and schedules service work, manages service technicians, and ensures timely completion of installation, maintenance, and repair projects. The Service Manager monitors service quality, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining accurate records, service reports, and documentation. This position collaborates with sales, engineering, and operations teams to resolve technical issues, support customer needs, and optimize service processes. The role also involves budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability within the service department. Qualifications Experience managing field service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and supervising service technicians in an industrial or mechanical environment. Strong technical knowledge of boilers, burners, mechanical systems, or similar industrial equipment, with the ability to interpret technical documentation and service manuals. Proficiency in customer service and relationship management, with skills in communication, conflict resolution, and delivering solutions-focused support. Ability to use service management software, ERP or CRM systems, and standard office tools to track work orders, service history, and performance metrics. Demonstrated skills in team leadership, coaching, performance management, and fostering a safety-focused culture. Background in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning within a service or operations environment. Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to boiler operation and industrial facilities is beneficial.
