We are hiring ASAP!!! We are looking for a 1st Shift WELDER (ALUMINIM MIG) job opportunity with a manufacturing company in Jacksonville, FL (northside Jax near the Jacksonville Zoo). This is a 5 month contract-to-hire, meaning you will be converted full time (which includes PTO, Holiday Pay, etc.) after 5 months. BENEFITS offered immediately (no waiting period)!
Location : Jacksonville, FL 32218
1st Shift Schedule : Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM
Overtime : Yes on Fridays; at 1.5x pay rate
Hiring Structure Duration : 5 month contract to hire (intention for conversion to full time employment after 5 months working)
Start Date: ASAP - within 1-2 weeks from hire
Job Summary:
This Welder will work in a manufacturing/fabrication shop environment focused primarily on MIG aluminum welding. Most work involves fabricating enclosure components rather than field construction, travel work, or generator maintenance. MIG welding is the primary process, with TIG considered a plus. Will fabricate raw aluminum materials, Assemble enclosure components and housings, Weld ladder systems, platforms and stairs, Install/weld ventilation assemblies, Perform spot welding on enclosure components.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years of MIG aluminum welding experience
- Manufacturing and/or fabrication shop experience
- Ability to work overtime
- TIG welding experience is a plus
- Welding school or technical school education
- Ability to pass background check requirements
