Work Environment\n

As a remote position, you will have the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while actively contributing to a supportive outpatient office environment. The work schedule is set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, enabling you to maintain a consistent routine while offering services to clients in need.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique care needs and developing personalized treatment plans.

• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions that address various emotional challenges, such as grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions associated with aging.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate healing and coping strategies for seniors, fostering resilience in the face of life's challenges.

• Educate family members and staff on effective strategies to support the emotional well-being of elderly individuals.

• Provide grief and loss counseling to clients and their families who are navigating end-of-life issues, offering empathy and guidance during difficult times.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the elderly community, many of whom may be facing profound emotional challenges related to aging, loss, and transition. You will work closely with seniors who require specialized mental health support, helping them to navigate not only the psychological aspects of aging but also the associated life changes that come with it.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is essential to ensure practical experience.

• Candidates must be license-eligible in the state of New York and possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly with clients.

• Demonstrated ability to empathize and actively listen while guiding clients through difficult emotions.

• Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills to manage case documentation and treatment records effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
