Amenities Porter

Job Summary

This is a part-time position, Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Amenities Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and overall appearance of the property's indoor amenity spaces. This role ensures that all resident amenities are consistently clean, fully stocked, and ready for use by performing routine cleaning, inspections, and minor upkeep. The Amenities Porter works closely with the property management and maintenance teams to uphold community standards and provide residents with an exceptional amenity experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all interior amenity spaces, including fitness centers, resident lounges, coworking spaces, business centers, conference rooms, game rooms, theaters, package rooms, pet spas, and other shared facilities.

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, polish, and disinfect floors, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and high-touch surfaces.

• Clean and maintain restrooms located within amenity areas, including replenishing paper products, soap, and other supplies.

• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners throughout amenity spaces.

• Restock amenity supplies, including coffee station items, sanitizing products, paper goods, and other consumables.

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure amenity areas remain clean, organized, safe, and fully operational throughout the day.

• Arrange and reset furniture in lounges, meeting rooms, coworking spaces, and other shared areas to maintain an inviting appearance.

• Identify and promptly report maintenance issues, damaged furnishings, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards.

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for resident events and community activities held within amenity spaces.

• Maintain cleaning equipment and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.

• Follow established cleaning procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and all company safety policies.

• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous interactions with residents, guests, vendors, and team members.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, porter, custodial, or facilities maintenance roles preferred.

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Professional demeanor and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequently bend, kneel, reach, squat, and climb stairs.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

• Operate cleaning equipment and safely handle cleaning chemicals.

• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the workday.
