Location Chicago, IL Job Description Act as the domain expert for Crop Insurance, including: MPCI (Multi-Peril Crop Insurance) Crop-Hail Livestock Specialty Crop products Interpret and apply: USDA RMA regulations Actuarial rules Policy provisions Loss adjustment procedures Provide guidance across the end‑to‑end crop insurance lifecycle: Quoting & Underwriting Acreage Reporting Policy Administration Claims & Loss Adjustment Billing & Payments Support Guidewire implementations and AMS engagements by: Validating business rules, workflows, and edge cases Reviewing and signing off on: Functional requirements Configuration approaches Releases and defect fixes Serve as a key advisor during: Transition and knowledge transfer (KT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Regulatory audits Provide L3 domain support: Incident triage Complex production issue resolution Contribute to: RFP responses Solution design and estimations Client workshops Ensure operational readiness during critical seasonal periods: Planting Acreage reporting Harvest Required SKills 10-15 years of experience in the Crop Insurance domain Strong hands‑on expertise in: MPCI plans, unit structures, and coverage options Prevented planting and replant scenarios Indemnity calculations Claims settlement and loss adjustment processes Experience with USDA/RMA compliance and reporting Exposure to core insurance platforms: Guidewire (preferred) Custom insurance systems Ability to translate complex regulatory and actuarial concepts into clear business guidance Strong stakeholder management and decision‑making skills Compensation The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $118,779 to $157,606. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
