Senior Systems Analyst Programmer

Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst Programmer (Mainframe/IDMS)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration of Contract: 6 months with possible extension
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst Programmer with strong expertise in IDMS, COBOL, JCL, and z/OS mainframe environments . The ideal candidate will support application development, system analysis, project implementation, and production support activities.
(This role is ideal for a seasoned Mainframe Developer/Systems Analyst with strong IDMS expertise and hands-on experience in enterprise mainframe environments.)
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of recent experience with IDMS, COBOL, JCL, and z/OS.
- Experience developing and supporting Online IDMS applications.
- Knowledge of ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, and DME.
- Experience with VSAM, SAS, VegaSoft, TSO/ISPF, and IDMS screen mapping.
- Strong background in systems analysis, design, development, and project implementation.
- Experience providing application production support and IT customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain IDMS and COBOL mainframe applications.
- Perform system analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Support production issues and application enhancements.
- Work with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure system stability and provide ongoing customer support.
