Software Engineer, Design Systems

Leading the technical vision for a new design system, the full-time remote Software Engineer, Design Systems will define architecture, build infrastructure, and influence product decisions while collaborating closely with design teams to enhance AI-assisted development workflows. Key responsibilities Own the technical direction of the design system, including token architecture and component tooling Shape AI coding agents' UI building processes through documentation and developer workflows Modernize frontend foundations and establish best practices to improve product quality across teams Required qualifications 3+ years of experience in building frontend products with ownership over architecture Experience in evolving a design system used across multiple teams or products Deep expertise in frontend technologies, including TypeScript and modern tooling Proven ability to enhance product quality in terms of performance and accessibility Strong instincts for product and design, with effective collaboration skills across teams
