AI can teach a young child to read, but it cannot inspire her to want to. Closing that gap is your responsibility. At Alpha, students in grades K‑3 complete academic learning through AI‑driven applications in a two‑hour window each day. As a Guide, you are assigned to one cohort band—either K‑1 (Kindergarten and first grade) or 2‑3 (second and third grade)—and you shape your energy, timing, and workshop design to fit that band. Half of your day is spent facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops covering public speaking, concentration, and peer feedback. A playbook is provided, but top performers in this role customize it for their cohort and build new exercises when gaps appear. The remaining half of your day is spent in individual or small‑group sessions, analyzing Coachbot data, and coaching each student toward 100 % completion of their weekly app targets. Your warmth creates trust; your insistence proves you believe in their capacity. A successful quarter means every student completes their weekly app goals, passes the Test2Pass for every life‑skills workshop, and at least 90 % report that they love you. Falling short on any of these three markers means the job was not done. In your first year, you master the playbook; once you demonstrate you can maintain standards, you become eligible for Lead Guide, where you mentor new hires while continuing to lead your own cohort. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑3 cohorts on topics including public speaking, concentration, feedback, and other transferable skills, customizing the playbook to your group rather than following it verbatim. Conducting daily individual and small‑group coaching sessions that ensure every student stays on track to meet weekly app goals, informed by Coachbot analytics, Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and the rapport you establish with each child. Delivering the Test2Pass, Alpha's mastery‑based evaluation, for each life skill, and continuing to coach students who do not initially pass until mastery is achieved. Engaging kindergarteners through songs, storytelling, physical activity, and playfulness while simultaneously holding second and third graders accountable to clear, quantifiable expectations. Serving as the warm, trusted adult that children are excited to see at arrival and the adult who will not accept complacency. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering lessons from the front of the room. Academic content is delivered through the apps, not by you. Creating curriculum from the ground up. Alpha supplies the playbook; your role is to animate it.
