Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant – Irvine Join a Growing Real Estate Investment Firm An established and growing real estate investment company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in Irvine. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to gain exposure to real estate investment, land development, and project accounting while working alongside experienced finance leadership. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting schedules Record loan fundings, repayments, interest, and amortization Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Process journal entries related to land acquisitions, lot sales, and development projects Maintain project accounting and inventory schedules Record development costs and ensure accurate cost capitalization Process accounts payable invoices and manage payment workflows Track reimbursements, project expenses, and legal invoices Assist with accounts receivable and cash activity Prepare various accounting reports and analyses Support tax filings and regulatory reporting Follow internal accounting controls and approval procedures Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting Staff Accountant or similar accounting experience Real estate, construction, land development, or property accounting experience is a plus but not required Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Excellent analytical and organizational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong Excel skills Experience with accounting software (ERP experience is a plus) Self‑motivated with excellent communication skills What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to continue growing their accounting career.
