Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP unit to provide specialized cardiac care. The role involves performing and assisting with complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments and establish patient readiness for cardiac interventions.
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic parameters throughout procedures and post-care.
• Titrate drips independently, managing medications and infusions as required.
• Document all procedures and patient responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and safety protocols, including self-scheduling for on-call shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in applicable state.
• Critical care or cardiac cath lab experience.
• Proficiency with equipment such as Impella, IABP, and other cath lab devices.
• ACLS certification required.
• Ability to manage complex patient care independently and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a good sense of humor.
