Description/Notes:The Director of School Improvement will provide leadership and coaching support to campus principals and teams in executing the school improvement process tied to student outcomes. The Director of School Improvement will support campuses in the design and implementation of system-level reforms related to school performance and support principals' growth as instructional leaders with emphasis on identified schools. The Director will also serve as the District Coordinator for School Improvement (DCSI), lead the district's state and federal accountability support efforts, serve as the primary liaison to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and ESC Region 11 on matters related to school improvement, and ensure compliance with all state and federal intervention requirements.
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution- Principal or Mid-Management certification Experience: - Minimum of three years successful principal experience
- Minimum of three years of successful classroom experience
- Demonstrated experience in coaching for optimal performance
- Demonstrated knowledge of Texas state accountability systems, federal accountability requirements, and school improvement
