Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Valid license required for position Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Robot and Spine experience required National Certification (NBSTSA) required in hand at time of submission Call required No Weekends Description: First-time travelers accepted. CST with experience in robotic and spine procedures is needed. Successful candidates will be skilled in a variety of surgical techniques. Experience with abdominal hysterectomy and spinal fusion is essential. Candidates must demonstrate competency in aseptic technique and sterilization processes. Familiarity with equipment such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is preferred. Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes is required. Patient demographics include adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census expected is 30 cases. Interdisciplinary support from various specialties will be provided. Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Candidates must have valid licenses and certifications before starting.
