Kitchen Lead

We are seeking a Kitchen Lead to oversee daily prep operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, organization, and food safety. This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the organizational skills to keep both kitchen operations and off-site events running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen prep, ensuring recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards are consistently followed
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen while ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Train, support, and guide prep staff while creating a positive and efficient team culture
• Troubleshoot day-to-day challenges, including equipment issues, ingredient substitutions, and timing adjustments
• Lead food production, setup, and execution for off-site events
• Pack, transport, and organize equipment and products to ensure successful event execution
• Represent the brand professionally while providing excellent hospitality to clients and guests
• Make real-time adjustments to prep and service plans based on event requirements and changing conditions
• Manage inventory levels, reduce waste, and identify shortages before they impact operations
• Place, track, and follow up on vendor and supplier orders
• Manage daily communication with vendors, event contacts, and our management team
• Assist with forecasting prep and ordering needs based on upcoming events and production schedules 

Requirements

• Previous experience in a prep kitchen, catering, commissary, or production kitchen environment
• Ability to work effectively both in a kitchen setting and at off-site events
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
• Basic administrative skills, including comfort with email, spreadsheets, and ordering systems
• Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
• Food safety certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• Complete and obtain training and proper document of state and city sanitation certificate
• Complete training program
• Work a variable and flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays
