Position Summary:

ATC Healthcare Services is hiring experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSP) with expertise in OPWDD settings and guidelines . We seek DSPs who are empathetic, patient, and skilled in providing personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities for Direct Support Professional (DSP):

• Client Care: Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients.
• Daily Support: Assist clients with grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately per OPWDD guidelines.
• Behavioral Support: Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors and foster positive outcomes.
• Team Collaboration: Work with therapists, clinicians, and case managers to develop and implement care plans.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and follow established protocols.

Requirements for Direct Support Professional (DSP):

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in OPWDD settings.
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independence: Ability to work independently and adhere to OPWDD regulations.

Necessary Licenses & Certifications for Direct Support Professional (DSP):

• AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel)
• SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention)
• CPR or BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED or Transcript
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Language: Proficiency in spoken English

Job Type: Full-time, part-time, Per Diem

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week 

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
