Position Summary The Director of Sales is a strategic, hands‑on leader responsible for driving group, corporate, leisure, and event revenue for SkyBeach Resort. This role oversees all sales initiatives related to guest rooms, meetings and function space, and on‑property experiences, while positioning SkyBeach as a premier destination for group stays and events. The Director of Sales works closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, and Food & Beverage to maximize revenue, profitability, and market presence. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive transient, group, corporate, SMERF, leisure, and meetings and events business. Maximize utilization of meeting and function space through proactive sales efforts and strategic partnerships. Identify new market opportunities and grow existing accounts through targeted outreach. Collaborate with Revenue Management to align pricing, forecasting, and demand strategies. Actively solicit, negotiate, and close key accounts, group bookings, and event opportunities. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and motivate the Sales Team to exceed revenue goals. Establish clear KPIs, accountability standards, and performance expectations. Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations. Foster a results‑driven, collaborative sales culture. Client & Market Engagement Serve as the primary ambassador for SkyBeach Resort within the local and regional market. Build strong relationships with meeting planners, event organizers, travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients. Conduct site inspections and host client visits highlighting guest rooms, meeting and function space, LUMA, SkyBar, marina, and beachfront amenities. Collaboration & Brand Alignment Partner with Marketing on branding, promotions, and lead‑generation initiatives. Work closely with Operations and Food & Beverage—particularly LUMA—to ensure flawless execution of group and event business. Ensure all sales initiatives align with SkyBeach’s barefoot luxury brand and service standards. Reporting & Market Analysis Monitor booking pace, pickup, and market trends. Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports. Analyze competitive set activity and adjust strategies accordingly. Qualifications 5+ years of hospitality sales leadership experience, preferably in a resort or lifestyle hotel environment. Strong background in group, meetings, and event sales. Proven ability to drive revenue and close high‑value business. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. Experience with hotel CRM and sales systems.
