Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Sales Manager to drive revenue growth with companies involved in commercial and defence aerospace markets for radar and satellite communications. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with 3-7 years of experience in technical sales particularly in RF/microwave.
You will represent our custom waveguide and standard waveguide component capabilities, build long-term relationships with OEMs, prime contractors, government entities, and engineering teams, and contribute to expanding our footprint in both commercial and military markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales: Prospect and qualify leads through targeted outreach, industry events, trade shows, and networking in military, aerospace, and RF/Microwave communities.
• Sales Cycle Management: Manage opportunities through the full sales process—from initial inquiry and technical consultations to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure—for custom waveguide assemblies, waveguide components, and integrated subsystems.
• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while expanding penetration into key customers (e.g., satellite operators, radar system integrators, military primes).
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in satellite comms, radar modernization, and space applications. Provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Proposal & Quoting: Collaborate with internal engineering and production teams to develop accurate, competitive proposals and technical solutions tailored to customer specifications.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Track sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and report on key metrics using CRM tools.
• Travel: Represent the company at trade shows, customer sites, and industry events (estimated 20–40% travel).
Qualifications
• Experience: 3–7 years of proven B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in technical/engineering products, RF/microwave components, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
• Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and articulate waveguide, RF, antenna, and microwave technology concepts. Familiarity with ITAR regulations and defense contracting is a strong plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage with engineers, procurement professionals, and executives.
• Self-motivated with excellent prospecting, negotiation, and closing abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance preferred (U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR compliance).
