Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close activities as the Staff Accountant
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records as the Staff Accountant
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting as the Staff Accountant
• Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations as the Staff Accountant
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed while gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle as the Staff Accountant
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis as the Staff Accountant
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit activities as the Staff Accountant
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as the Staff Accountant

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Accounting internship experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment
