As a Staff Accountant, you'll work from a beautiful corporate office in downtown Clearwater while partnering closely with the Controller and accounting leadership team. The Staff Accountant will gain hands-on exposure to general ledger accounting, revenue recognition, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end close activities as the Staff Accountant
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity to ensure financial accuracy as the Staff Accountant
• Apply GAAP-compliant revenue recognition principles in preparing financial statements and reports as the Staff Accountant
• Review and code corporate credit card transactions while ensuring timely and accurate entry into the general ledger as the Staff Accountant
• Process and review employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies as the Staff Accountant
• Assist with audit preparation, internal reviews, and financial reporting support as the Staff Accountant
• Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls as the Staff Accountant
• Support the Controller with special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as the Staff Accountant

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
