Java AWS EngineerThe Purpose of this role: We are looking for an Engineer who will work in our core technology team partnering with business operations to technically solution for critical requirements of our Investment Operations analysts.The Value Delivered: Software Engineers are responsible for designing, developing and coordinating sophisticated application platforms for Fund and Investment operations. We expect our Java engineers to actively participate in the planning, execution and delivery process for application product teams. There will be plenty of opportunities to showcase your technical expertise to build our next generation application platforms on the cloud. Engineers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their attention to detail to align with the technology blueprint and tackle business problems through design, development and ongoing support. If you want your job to have the right balance of fun at work and be able to resolve sophisticated and time sensitive business problems, this is the right place for you!Required Qualifications:A minimum of 8 years of Strong Java/J2EE Object Oriented design and development skills.Excellent AWS knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudformation, Lambda, Elastic MapReduce, SNS, etc.Core Java, Servlets/JSP, Spring Boot, REST Web Services, MultithreadingSQL proficiency (Oracle PL/SQL experience preferred), ORM Tools (iBatis, JDBC Templates)Unix and Shell scripting basics, Messaging platforms (ActiveMQ) & excellent written & verbal communication skillsExposure to AWS, 12 Factor application design or any similar cloud knowledge (EKS)Agile methodologies or iterative development processesPreferred experience:Apache SparkBig data technologies, Hive, SnowflakePython 3+ scripting knowledgeJob Scheduling Technologies (Autosys)Exposure to Financial Investments or similar subject areas within the Financial domainSpecial Instructions: Good afternoon, This is a new role in our Westlake Tx location for Java/AWS Engineers. Basically we are looking for Strong Multi-threaded Java Engineers that have strong AWS experience moving to a Cloud based environment. Candidates Must have:Minimum of 8 years Java Development experience working on Multi-threaded data driven software.Must have MicroService Engineering experience working with Java 8 and Spring Boot.AWS Experience - Candidates must have a strong background in AWS and experience moving applications to a Cloud Based environment. Candidates should have experience with Docker, Kubernetes and a strong understanding of 12 factor Cloud Computing.
