Job Title: Cafeteria Attendant

Reports To: Sous Chef

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Cafeteria Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing a clean, welcoming environment while ensuring smooth daily operations in our cafeteria. This role involves serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring portions meet health and safety guidelines.
• Greet and assist customers, addressing their inquiries and providing information about menu items.
• Maintain a clean and organized cafeteria area, including dining spaces, serving counters, and dishwashing areas.
• Assist in inventory control, including restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient service.
• Assist with catering for special events or functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or customer service is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

EDUCATION:

• High School degree, GED or Equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

REASONING ABILITY:

• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
