Phlebotomist

Overview Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Cameron, TX (76520). Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be required). Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Qualifications Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment Current or prior LabCorp experience Additional Job Standards A phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is acceptable in lieu of work experience Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team Comfortable working with minimal supervision Growth and Incentives We offer opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.
