The Opportunity As a Veteran Support Specialist, you’ll provide day‑to‑day support within our residential programs while building meaningful connections with veterans. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced supervisors and alongside case managers and clinical staff to help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment. What You’ll Do Build rapport and maintain respectful, professional relationships with clients. Help maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic community environment. Address conflicts and challenging behaviors with professionalism and care. Assist with groups, activities, and one‑on‑one support focused on daily living skills. Work with case managers and team members to support client goals. Complete incident reports, logs, and client records accurately and timely. Assist clients with getting to appointments and accessing community resources. Attend team meetings, trainings, and program activities to build your skillset. Programs You May Support Transitional Housing: Help veterans move from homelessness to stable housing. Long‑Term Supportive Housing: Support housing stability and independence. Mental Health Programs: Assist in structured, recovery‑focused environments. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of experience in social services, customer service, or working with people preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and data entry). Valid driver’s license required; must meet company insurance requirements and complete driver training. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts as needed.
