Our client is a family-owned specialty chemical company with more than 50 years of experience serving manufacturers across industrial chemicals, coatings, pigment dispersions and related specialty markets.

We’re looking for a Regional Sales Manager (Southeast) who knows how to build relationships with manufacturers, uncover opportunities and turn technical solutions into long-term business.

This isn’t a territory you have to build from zero. You’ll inherit an established customer base and have significant opportunity to expand those relationships while developing new accounts.

What You’ll Do

Grow the Southeast Territory

• Take ownership of an established book of industrial customers.
• Prospect and win new manufacturing accounts.
• Expand existing relationships through cross-selling and new applications.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Sell Solutions, Not Commodities

• Work directly with purchasing, plant leadership, chemists and formulators.
• Understand customer applications, specifications and performance requirements.
• Partner with the technical and lab teams on samples, trials, color matching and custom solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial conversation through qualification, specification and recurring orders.

Run Your Business

• Develop your own territory strategy and prioritize the accounts with the greatest potential.
• Build relationships through customer visits, plant meetings, trade shows and industry events.
• Track pipeline, forecasting, revenue and account activity through CRM.
• Provide market intelligence on customers, competitors, pricing and emerging opportunities.

Who We're Looking For, You’ll likely thrive here if you:

• Have 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience .
• Have sold into manufacturing or industrial customers .
• Can demonstrate a track record of growing revenue and winning new accounts.
• Enjoy hunting for business but also know how to develop long-term customer relationships.
• Are comfortable having technical conversations and learning how products are used within a customer's operation.
• Are self-directed, competitive and comfortable owning your territory without being micromanaged.
• Are willing to travel regularly to meet customers face-to-face.

Experience with industrial chemicals, coatings, pigment dispersions, colorants, inks or specialty chemicals is highly attractive, but strong adjacent industrial sales experience will also be considered.
