Job Title: General Production Worker – Electronic Assembly Job Description

This role focuses on electronic assembly of switches used in military, government, agriculture, and healthcare applications. You will work with small components and precision tools to assemble parts onto printed circuit boards, ensuring high quality and accuracy in every unit produced.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic switches and related components according to detailed instructions and specifications.
• Handle and assemble small parts with consistent accuracy, using strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Use hand tools and power tools to build, fit, and secure various component parts.
• Gather and organize all materials and components needed to complete assigned assembly tasks.
• Place and secure components onto printed circuit boards using small and precision hand tools.
• Work at an individual workstation for extended periods while standing or sitting as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain close attention to detail to ensure assemblies meet quality and performance standards.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output expectations in a results-focused environment.
• Comply with all safety procedures and participate in required health checks during each shift.
• Support overtime requirements, working 3–4 additional hours daily as needed to meet production demands.

Essential Skills

• Experience working with small parts requiring strong hand–eye dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively in an assembly environment.
• Capability to place and secure components onto printed circuit boards with precision.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Comfort working at an individual station, standing or sitting for most of the workday.
• Willingness and ability to work significant overtime, approximately 50–60 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work 1st shift (typically 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) and to start as early as 5:30 a.m. when required, or to work 2nd shift (3:45 p.m.–12:15 a.m.), depending on assignment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Solder certification is a plus and may enhance your candidacy.
• Experience with soldering in an electronic assembly environment is highly desirable.
• Pick-and-place equipment experience is a plus and may lead to an adjusted pay rate.
• Prior experience as an electronic assembler or in a manufacturing production role is beneficial.
• Comfort working with electronic components and understanding basic electronic assembly processes.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment with long rows of workstations, typically five stations per row, designed for focused individual work. You will work with hand tools, power tools, and electronic components at your own station, standing or sitting for extended periods. Shifts currently include a 1st shift (around 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with openness to starting at 5:30 a.m.) and a 2nd shift (3:45 p.m.–12:15 a.m.), and most employees work 3–4 hours of overtime daily, totaling approximately 50–60 hours per week. The facility conducts temperature checks and brief health screenings at the start and near the end of each shift to support a safe workplace.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.40 - $15.40/hr.
