Job Title: Production Worker Job Description

Join our team as a Production Worker, where you will be involved in operating and setting up packaging machinery, ensuring efficient operation and product quality. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge equipment in a clean and well-maintained facility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging machinery, including auto packager and cutter.
• Adjust hoses and replace film and rolls on machinery.
• Adjust blades, set orders, and runs into the computer system.
• Manage and unclog jams in the machinery.
• Check products for defects to ensure quality.
• Operate machinery to fill, cut, seal, and package sauce packets and containers.
• Connect hoses to tankers and fillers, and climb ladders to access machinery tops.
• Work comfortably at heights.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year GMP experience.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. individually.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanine above machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities.
• Experience with blending and batch mixing.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean, temperature-controlled facility equipped with packaging machinery, kettles, and tanks for mixing. The floor features different tanks, machinery, and packaging lines. The environment is well-maintained, occasionally warmer around cooking machinery, and has a pleasant aroma. Employees must be comfortable wearing hairnets, beard nets, and non-slip boots in this GMP environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.05/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
