This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring every other weekend and every other holiday availability.

Job Description

The RN will work on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, providing care in an acute care environment. The position entails monitoring cardiac patients, administering IV therapy, and executing emergency response protocols as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
• Activate Rapid Response and Code teams when necessary.
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy, along with peripheral line care and management.
• Manage nasal cannula and oxygen administration, providing non-invasive airway management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions as per protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license is required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Candidates will be required to float within their skill set.
