Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview This position provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support for hospital and outpatient patients. Under supervision, the respiratory therapist evaluates patients, performs routine and critical care procedures, educates patients, and maintains equipment. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating departmental activities, developing policies, participating in quality improvement, processing patient charges, and performing EKGs and holter monitoring. The role also involves coordinating continuing education for staff and representing the department in community health initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Associates Degree or certification as Respiratory Therapy Technician/Registered Respiratory Therapist Current New Mexico licensure as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner CPR certification required; ACLS preferred One to three years of experience in respiratory care Key Attributes Strong patient evaluation and education skills Ability to maintain departmental policies and equipment readiness Participation in community health activities Team collaboration and ongoing professional development #J-18808-Ljbffr
