Senior RF Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview Senior RF Mechanical Engineer responsible for innovative design solutions for the packaging of antennas, RF Circuit Card Assemblies, radomes, and RF test equipment. The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, providing technical oversight, and collaborating with customers to refine requirements and validate hardware compliance. Responsibilities Lead small, multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical oversight. Collaborate with engineering organization to establish technology roadmaps and enable modernization. Define and refine requirements with customer personnel and program leadership to validate hardware compliance. Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and prototype hardware designs. Coordinate fabrication, perform hands‑on integration and test support for prototype hardware. Conduct design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts. Manage suppliers for built-to-print or built-to-specification RF products. Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring, and training within areas of expertise. Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with 3D CAD, creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using GD&T, and leading small interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency in Creo, Simulate, or ANSYS Workbench for preliminary structural and thermal analysis. Knowledge of RF Printed Circuit Board (PCB) stack‑ups, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) layout, and one‑dimensional tolerance analysis. Experience developing technical proposals, engineering project estimates, and writing professional level design documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: Master of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience in RF product packaging. Preferred: Experience serving as Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), Control Account Manager (CAM), or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL).
