Supervisor, PlumbingQualifications:Current master plumber license issued by the City of JacksonMinimum of high school educationValid Mississippi motor vehicle operator's licenseFive years experience in the maintenance and installation of gas-fired equipment, water distribution, and drainage systemsKnowledge and experience in the design, maintenance, and repair of all types of plumbing systemsMust be insurable by district insurance carrierApplicant must submit to and pass drug screening test as outlined by district policyReports To:Executive Director of Facilities & OperationSupervises:All personnel assigned to the plumbing department (may be assigned other supervisory duties as needed)Job Goal:To insure that all facilities meet the highest standards of plumbing service, that ensure health, safety, and efficiency in operation for the students and personnel that those facilities serve.Essential Functions:Assigns, coordinates, and checks all work of the plumbing departmentProvides adequate leadership, instruction, and on-the-job training to all personnel under his/her supervisionAssigns personnel their daily job duties, maintains timesheets, prepares payroll records, and prepares monthly reports of work completedAssumes responsibility for proper use of all maintenance vehicles and equipment assigned to the plumbing departmentIs subject to call during off duty hours and must check with immediate supervisor prior to leaving the district for one (1) day or more or during holidaysInterviews job applicantsMonitors all departmental purchases of tools and equipmentMaintains a current inventory of all tools and equipment assigned to the plumbing departmentPrepares an adequate budget projection schedule for each forthcoming yearSchedules necessary staff development activities for personnelMaintains adequate record of work performedEvaluates the job performance of all employees in the plumbing departmentPerforms other related duties as requested or assignedEvaluation:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.Salary Information:Classification: Supervisor, PlumbingScale: AdministrativeGrade: CDays Employed: 241 per school yearSalary: $62,656.00 annuallyOvertime: Exempt
