Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Unit Profile

Join our dynamic Emergency Department team in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and efficient patient throughput.

• Number of Beds: 39
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Staffing: 1 unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor
• Equipment: Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Documentation System: MediTech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4-week schedules posted 2 weeks prior; preferred three 12-hour shifts weekly
• Floating Policy: ER hold unit while at capacity; rare during summer months
• Patient Experience Requirements: 30-1 hour patient rounding and bedside shift report

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Advanced Skills: Ability to assist in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures
• Procedures Performed: Chest tubes, Moderate sedation, Lumbar puncture, laceration repair, blood products administration
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Dress Code

Required uniform: Black Scrubs
