Grinder Machinist Opportunity
Twin City Staffing is seeking a grinder machinist for a direct hire opportunity in the Coon Rapids, MN area. This role is perfect for a craftsman who excels with high-end CNC equipment and tight tolerances. Duties of the grinder machinist:
- Set up and operate CNC and conventional grinders (ID, OD, Surface)
- Use high-end equipment like Okuma, Toyoda, and Okamoto
- Produce parts with extremely tight tolerances
- Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Troubleshoot machine issues and monitor performance
- Participate in 5S and Kaizen initiatives
Requirements of the grinder machinist:
- 14+ years of machining experience (grinding is a plus)
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
- Skilled with precision tools and ERP systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
