Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery provides skilled nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care. The nurse must have at least 2 years of relevant experience and a valid California RN license, with the ability to float to Medical/Surgical and Orthopedics units as needed. Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to laboring and delivering patients.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor maternal and fetal status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Manage patient care documentation accurately and timely.
• Float to Medical/Surgical and Orthopedics units as required.
• Participate in weekend shifts on an every-other-week basis.
• Respond to call requirements depending on patient census.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and Orthopedics units.

• Experience as a travel nurse or seasoned traveler preferred.

• Weekend work required every other weekend.
• Call requirements vary based on patient census.
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions limit assignments to no more than 7 days.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Facility scrub color is royal blue.

• Start date: ASAP.
• Shift assignments may include weekends and floating to other units.
• Shift lengths and specific hours are determined by patient census and hospital needs.
