Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide skilled nursing care, case management, and support to patients in a hospital setting. The Registered Nurse will perform patient assessments, administer medications, develop treatment plans, and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and an active California RN license are required. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to labor and delivery patients, including assessments and monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Manage patient documentation and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively.
• Float to Medical-Surgical and Orthopedic units as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations depending on patient census.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including scrubs color code (royal blue) and other facility standards.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California (pending licenses not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in labor and delivery or related fields.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Experience as a travel nurse preferred but not required.
• Experience in Medical-Surgical and Orthopedic units for float assignments.

• Weekend work required every other weekend.
• Call requirements depend on patient census.
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: no more than 7 days.
• Hospital uses royal blue scrubs.
• Cancellation after signature may result in systemwide Do Not Return (DNR) status.

• Start date: ASAP.
• Shift assignments and schedules determined by patient census and hospital needs.
• Float assignments possible between Labor & Delivery, Medical-Surgical, and Orthopedic units.
