RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete monthly closings including account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals. Function as financial liaison to corporate office (Richmond, Virginia), including Controller, Treasury, Tax and Financial Planning and Analysis personnel. Assist in the annual audit process Reconcile US GAAP and management reporting. Assess existing processes to identify efficiencies, potential integration opportunities, controls, and documentation. Assist in preparation of management reporting packages and variance analyses Perform internal controls for assigned processes. Complete special projects as assigned, especially related to ERP enhancements. Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional development and team engagement Lead technical accounting matters REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred Minimum of 5+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience Experience with large ERP systems and Microsoft Office Strong Technical accounting and analytical skills GAAP and SOX experience Prior management experience and strong leadership skills preferred Our client offers a very strong comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
