Our client, a dynamic organization in Hardscape Manufacturing, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, diligence, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Brewster, NY
Pay Range: $28
Shift: Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Temp-Perm OpportunityWhat's the Job?
- Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Reconcile payroll, bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Support internal and external audits
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of general accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and accounts payable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
