Location: Hot Springs, SD 57747

Shift: 12-Hour Varied Shifts

Pay Rate: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour

Position Overview


Fall River Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Acute Care team. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient-centered care in a supportive hospital environment focused on teamwork, professional growth, and clinical excellence.


As an Acute Care RN, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This fast-paced and rewarding position is ideal for nurses passionate about acute care and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly respond to changes in status
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and discharge planning
• Prioritize patient care tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Follow infection control and patient safety standards consistently
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to assigned staff members
• Assist with orientation and training of new employees
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
• Promote teamwork and positive communication within the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of South Dakota or eligibility for reciprocity
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
• Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred but not required
