Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic full-time role supporting the growth and creativity of students as a Visual and Performing Arts educator. Engage with a caseload of 20-25 students near Belvidere, IL, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can explore and develop their talents. This contract position allows you to make a meaningful impact within general education, collaborating with fellow educators and staff to enrich students’ learning experiences.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a PK–12th Grade Arts Endorsement
• Background in general education teaching, preferably within visual and performing arts
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Experience facilitating a positive classroom community
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for visual and performing arts
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to maximize growth for all learners
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to promote holistic student success
• Encourage creativity and critical thinking in students through diverse projects and performances
• Participate in school-wide activities, performances, and professional learning opportunities
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
