Technical Proposal WriterValidaTek is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer to join a growing bid team of proposal managers, technical writers, proposal analysts, and graphic designers. This role works closely with proposal managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to craft proposals for Information Technology (IT) projects. The Proposal Technical Writer is the driving force behind gathering technical information from our subject matter experts (SMEs) and crafting responses that transform dry technical information into effective proposals.This position requires a collaborative team member who can effectively work across all levels of ValidaTek, gathering information and producing critical content under tight deadlines. The candidate must be able to proactively engage with key stakeholders to ensure that all written content is appropriate and created at the highest quality standards, while maintaining complete accuracy and proper handling of sensitive data.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with proposal team to identify and develop required content for responsesAnalyze Government requirements and write technical and management solutions, including past performance and contract experienceInterview and collaborate with technical resources, Program Managers and SMEs on technical and management topics to develop compliant and compelling response narrativeCollect, integrate, and validate the quality of content from technical specialists and/or consultantsIdentify and rework existing content where relevantConceptualize graphics, figures, tables, and other presentation techniques to optimize impact of information providedCross-reference proposal writing to the solicitation requirements and track compliance with all requirementsDeliver completed written proposal responses to the Proposal Manager in accordance with deadlines, escalating issues as requiredMaintain technical knowledge by maintaining knowledge stores of reusable contentQualificationsBachelor's degree preferred to include a technical concentration8+ years of technical writing experience supporting FAR-based acquisitionsDemonstrated mastery of written English, including spelling, composition, and grammarGeneral knowledge of IT concepts, technologies, and methodologies, such as networks, cyber security, systems engineering, software development, cloud computing, service desk management, ITIL, DevOps, Agile, and SDLCAbility to demonstrate technical aptitude and to synthesize technical informationDemonstrated ability to grasp technical concepts and translate to compelling, understandable documents for both technical and non-technical readersStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to support and meet dynamic and tight deadlines, including occasional nights and weekendsAbility to plan and prioritize strategicallyVery strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skillsAbility to effectively interact with a wide range of personnelAbility to work independently and collaborativelyDemonstrated ability to multitask with high-priority demands in an intense, deadline-driven environmentAbility to think critically and draw from multiple resources to create unified and persuasive documentsExcellent attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsAdvanced MS Word skillsExperience with all other MS Office applicationsMust be willing and able to provide after hours and weekend support as neededPosted Min Pay RateUSD $100,000.00/Yr.Posted Max Pay RateUSD $135,000.00/Yr.Salary DisclosureActual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications. The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance.
